back to the future 2 was groundbreaking in doing this kind of split-screen actor multiplexing with moving cameras: they used computer motion-control rigs, similar to what they used on star wars for the spaceship effects where multiple camera passes had to be perfectly synchronized -- but on realtime shots

I'm looking to talk to someone, ideally from an agency or small cooperative, who has switched to Nextcloud.

I'm interested in how people have things like Time Tracking and Deck configured for project/client work.

(please boost!)

Archive.org captures in real-time new posts from self-hosted WordPress blogs, plus anything they link to, and does something similar for new citations on Wikipedia articles.

I wrote down how this works, and how it all ties together.
(The rabbit hole got me on this one, I'll say! 😅)

The vast majority of releases from this project are available on #Bandcamp and the #InternetArchive (via various netlabels), but I really like the idea of a federated music platform. It seems to fit nicely with the sharing philosophy of #CreativeCommons licensing among other things.

Part of decluttering is turning things that aren't bringing you satisfaction or joy into things that do (or just letting them go altogether).

Transformed a stack of board games that weren't doing anything other than taking space into items that will bring me some more joy.

(The results of a trade from Noble Knight, who are an absolute pleasure to deal with.)

I love these silly yet sound phrases by Jay Foreman:

"""
What this shows us is that, what we choose to build, or indeed choose to don't build, affects how we choose or don't choose to travel.

And that's the way around it should be!

I was out walking, lost in thought, and paid little attention to where I was going. Imagine my surprise when I found myself in the Library of Unwritten Books.
I wasn't allowed to read any of my own unwritten books, but I read one of yours.
It was really good. You should write it.

"Don't you ever worry you'll run out of stories?"
"No," said the storyteller.
"Someone said there are only really seven different stories."
"No, there are two. Stories that surprise you, and stories that don't."
"Which is better?"
"Sometimes you need one, sometimes the other."
